As you know by now I LOVE waking up in the wee hours of the morning. There is nothing better than having your alarm clock wake up out of a dead sleep in you nice cozy bed.

I just love it. But sometimes one has to sacrifice beauty sleep in order to create "art".

So this beautiful morning I find myself driving over to the beach to met up with the Dive Team from the Aventura Police Department. This great group of guys is lead Sgt. J. Burns.

We started out the day with a beautiful sun rise and a nice dip in the ocean.

Besides having all kinds of cool equipment and toys, access to two boats and the super human ability to breath under water, these guys do things that would almost make the Navy Seals jealous.

After the beach we took the boats out into the intra coastal. There, the guys did some boat casting as well as some high speed maneuvering exercises. We then headed to a small island so get some of the final shots.

I want to thank Sgt. Burns, Corp. Travis, Ofc. Hayton and Ofc. Freeman for waking up so early, for giving me their time and most importantly their patience.

All of the images were shot with a Nikon D3, with either a 24-70 mm or a 70 - 200 mm lens. Other equipment used trough out the day was a beauty dish, a honda generator, reflectors and a polarizing filter.
