I knew from the minute I met Shari and her husband that this was going to be a great shoot.

First we headed to the beach... Here are a few of my favorites.

Underwater photography is something that I had been wanting to get into for a long time. However, its not something that its either cheap to do, or more importantly the thought of putting my Nikon D3s in a plastic case and throwing it in the pool, was and is still not something that I feel 100% confortable doing on a daily basis.

Anyways, Roxane was kind enough to be my test subject. Not only did she have to put up with me trying out new things, but it was also a very cold day in December and as luck would have it, the pool heater was not working.

At the end of the day we wound up with some pretty cool shots. Not bad for a first try!

I want to thank Roxane for trusting my vision.

Till next time!

Talk about a special photo shoot. Not that all of my photo shoots aren't, but this one just about takes the cake.  See the baby inside Marias belly is my soon to be born son. Since we can't agree on a name, we have been calling him Peanut for the last eight months.  As you can imagine this is the biggest gift that one can receive...

We then decided to get a little creative with the lights, gels and props...

I don't get to do these so often, but this is a cute shot...

Ok so for this last one we got really creative. I decided to try the multiple exposure technique.  This one is four exposures in one frame. If you look at it closely, you can see the four faces with totally different expressions. I think it turned out to be pretty cool!

As you can see, Maria looked beautiful and very  proud to be a soon to be mom! Equipment used: Camera: Nikon D3 Lighting: Large Octa, Grids, Gels, Reflectors, Soft boxes. Location: Studio
